Indigenous Artworks - Reconciliation by you.

Welcome to our Inquiry Unit based on the acknowledgement of Indigenous Australians as the first Australians upon this land. Our unit focuses upon reconciliation as a way to counter racism within our schools and encourage a multi-cultural society for the future.

We aim to educate students away from the typically Euro-centric curriculum and give students a chance to engage with many historical events within Australia that perhaps will contradict what students have learnt within the past.

Our unit utilises the areas of Visual Arts, Multimedia, Music and Literacy to allow students to engage at a high level with the content presented.

The unit also focuses on students becoming critical thinkers, and allows scope for realisation that not everything that they are told or taught in the past or even in the future is true.
