Hi my name is Sara Crockford and i am in my second year of a bachelor of education/bachelor of arts.

Outline of my Integrated Learning Plan:

How can we plan a successful Class Party?

Year Levels – 6

Subjects – Mathematics

SACSA Learning Band – Middle Years

Unit Length – 10 weeks

The Inquiry Overview

Developing from an idea on engaging students through relevance, this topic focuses on students developing skills by being involved in the planning of their class party. Through their Maths lessons they will learn how important budgeting is and allow them to get real life and hands on experience in money matters. Working in groups students will have to co-operate to make decisions and research the best options the make their party successful and working to a set price per head, whilst also working to a deadline to have everything organised in time for the proposed party date.
