Details of topic

In this topic students will investigate what will be the source of energy in the future. They will investigate various possible sustainable energy that will be required in a world that cannot be reliant on fossil fuels as the main source for energy production.

Rationale

As the world changes and the reserves of fossil fuels are depleted the need to stem in to reusable energy sources to power the world of the future. The current students that are studying today will be the ones that bare the brunt of this need to find alternative sources of power. So this inquiry unit is to spark interest into the untapped power producing potential around us. this unit will stem into the two learning areas of both science and Sose incorporating the use of learning objects and awareness of the future
